The Maintenance Department’s employees, contractors or authorized agents will enter a dwelling unit for the following reasons during reasonable hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) for the purpose of performing maintenance, making improvements or repairs, and inspecting the unit.

Cheyenne Housing Authority staff will enter your unit under the following conditions:

  • With permission – If a resident calls in a maintenance request, the request will serve as permission to enter the unit until the request for repairs are completed.
  • With 24 hour notice – If the Housing Authority needs to do routine repairs or inspections, a notice of not less than 24 hours will be provided to the resident by mail or by attaching a notice to enter to the front door.
  • In an emergency – The Housing Authority will enter any unit in the event of an emergency without advanced notice. If the resident is not home, a work order with the time the unit was entered will be left inside the unit.
