If you are calling to inquire about the status of your application, please remember it is very difficult for staff to determine how long the wait will be for housing assistance.  Waiting times vary considerably depending on a variety of factors.  It is very important that you inform the Cheyenne Housing Authority in writing if your mailing address changes.  When your application starts approaching the top of a waiting list, you will be notified by mail.  If any letter is returned to our office by the Postal Service, your name will be removed from all waiting lists. The Cheyenne Housing Authority will not provide a “number” of where you are at on the waiting list.  The representative will verify what waiting lists your application is active on, the date you submitted your application and have you confirm your mailing address.
