Wyoming Family Home Ownership Program

Through a coalition of local faith communities, businesses, and dedicated families, The Wyoming Family Home Ownership Program (WYFHOP) aims to change the face of poverty, one family at a time by providing home ownership opportunities to low income families.

WyFHOP is currently looking for working families who are interested in participating in their program. Upon successful completion of the program, qualifying famlies will obtain $20,000 towards the purchase of their own Country Home in Creekside by Guardian Builders.

Wyoming Department of Workforce Services

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services provides numerous opportunities for employment, personal development, career training and labor standards.

General Educational Development (GED)

Laramie County Community College offers General Educational Development for those seeking to obtain their GED’s. Candidates are encouraged to enroll in the GED program to complete their GED preparation. This preparation is free. Individualized instruction is provided to prepare students to complete the GED tests. Classes offered include reading, writing, math, science and social studies.

CLIMB Wyoming

CLIMB Wyoming has provided low income, single mothers with employer-driven job training and placement, life skills and parenting training, coun­sel­ing and the support necessary to ensure self-sufficiency and economic security for gen­er­a­tions to come.

Adelante

Adelante offers free career training for qualified parents with dependent children. Adelante is funded through a grant from the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services to build a better life for you and your family.

Life Enrichment

The Life Enrichment program offers an array of personal enrichment courses deigned to enhance your life and let you to explore new interests. Whether your curiosity or passions lie within personal growth, recreation, finance, home improvement, photography, quilting, fitness or massage, the Life Enrichment program offers something for you!

WRAP Program

Wyoming Rehabilitation and Acquisition Program (WRAP) houses are foreclosed properties that have been purchased with federal NSP money. These houses will be rehabilitated and made available for purchase by persons with lower incomes who qualify for the WRAP program

CHOP Program

Cheyenne Homebuyer’s Opportunity Program (CHOP) is a partnership between the Cheyenne Lenders & Housing and Community Development Office. Investing in low to moderate-income individuals and their families to provide an opportunity to purchase affordable housing.

Community Action of Laramie County

Community Action of Laramie County is dedicated to eliminating poverty by empowering people through education, advocacy, crisis intervention and providing opportunities toward self-sufficiency.
